The community ‘stakeholders’ included representatives from business; education; media; community organizations; clergy; and non-profit service-providers. Their message: ‘Union Bank is here, in the Inland Empire...in San Bernardino. Our business is banking; but our committment includes service to and in our communities. We have information and other resources you can use’. Frank Robinson, Sr. Vice President and Community Affairs Manager of the region, is based in San Diego, CA. Among the bankers were Sharon Small-Kebede, Community Loan Officer, Chino HIlls, Rex Ramsey, CFP,Vice President, Sr. Financial AdvisorThe group answered questions and shared examples of community-based organizations that enabled a ‘micro-entrepreneur’ to get ‘start-up money or to provide alternatives in emergencies when low-income people felt forced to go to a hard money lender to seek help because they were trapped in debt.
