The Inland Empire is one of the most significant economies and the largest region of San Bernardino County in Southern California. San Bernardino County is the largest county in the United States. The region of the Inland Empire is most commonly called and known by locals as the "Inland Southern California", and “The IE,”. It is generally considered to be the area between the southern coastal areas of Orange County, Los Angeles, and other desert cities. The Inland Empire contains over 50 cities, including San Bernardino, Ontario, Redlands, Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamunga and Upland, etc. The Inland Empire also includes the San Bernardino Mountains to the north including Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. San Bernardino County covers Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley and Adelanto. |
